Imagine creating the perfect business premises (shop or office). Costs money, time and effort. In the end you are really proud of it. So, you cover up the windows with brown paper, take your address out of the phone book and cover up signage. Makes sense right? Of course not! In the same way, it does not make sense to build an online presence and then not allow people to find it.

SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) is all about getting you found on the web. It’s what gets you high up on the list when people search for your products and services.

But it is not easy – in fact it is a delicate mix between science and black magic. Anyone who tells you they know all the answers is...well...a bit dippy. If Google or Yahoo let out all the answers then the whole concept would be ruined as we would ALL be doing the same thing.

At the moment, less than 8% of websites are optimised. Why? Because its hard and takes time (which makes it pretty expensive). That said, if you rank highly with the search engines, then that means that browsers (shoppers) are coming to you and not your competitors and that translates into sales – lots of them.
